World Kindness Day Thoughts
"Do small kind deeds for other people,
then they will do small kind deeds for other people,
and maybe we'll start a chain reaction."
~Fred Rogers

On this World Kindness Day, it only seems fitting to share a quote from someone who spent his career trying to make the world a kinder more understanding place, Mr. Fred Rogers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a world that is loud, angry and divided, kindness often seems to go by the wayside - or worse yet, is regarded as a weakness to be exploited.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oh the dangerous line we cross when we stop valuing kindness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kindness need not be grand, it need not be fancy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All it need be is a thank you, a nod, an acknowledgement that those around us are seen, and valued . . . not for what they have accomplished, nor for what they can do for us, but as Fred would say, "for just you being you."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And while we are being kind to one another, let us also remember to be kind to this place we call home, and all the animals and plants we share it with.

P.S. for any other #fredrogers fans out there who also love podcasts, you should check out the iHeart Radio podcast, "Finding Fred" hosted by Carvell Wallace. It's a 10 episode limited run show. One of my all time favourites.
