Littlest Meow

I've been away from blogging for a while, as last week we had to say goodbye to our littlest meow, Izzy.

She was a rescue who wondered up to my parent's house around Christmas, and despite several previous attempts by my mom to catch her, she decided that I was the only one who she would let hold her and bring her inside.

She was my partner in crime for 12 years, 2 countries, 7 moves, and 2 degrees. She was sassy, sweet, wise, fearless, always at the center of the room whenever we had a party, and determined to live life on her own terms.

My husband (in addition to calling her a punk for running across his face in the middle of the night) always called her my avatar, because wherever I went she was never more than a few steps behind me.

I will forever be grateful for our 12 year journey together, she taught me much, and will forever be part of me.

Goodbye littlest meow, I hope you're having fun chasing rabbits in the sky.
